Network Staff

    Responsible to ensure compliance with the CMS contract requirements and oversight for the Indianapolis office, and acts as a liaison to NSI on behalf of The Renal Network.

    Directs the quality initiatives of Network 10 and works to achieve the goals of the three AIM areas in cooperation with CMS. Team lead for all vascular access improvement projects and vascular access education, including Fistula First/Catheter Last. Assists Patient Services staff with facility and patient concerns as needed.

    Team lead for cooperative activities with the Centers for Disease Control, and is the coordinator for all NHSN activities. Provides ongoing technical assistance for dialysis providers for the Quality Incentive Payment (QIP) Program including the Performance Score Reports and Performance Score Certificates (PSR), and Dialysis Facility Compare. Serves as the liaison between the Network and the state survey agencies of Illinois.

    Responsible for direction of all activities of the Patient Services Department, responds directly to patient complaints and grievances and also hears concerns expressed by dialysis facilities. Works with the dialysis community and CMS to avert and avoid involuntary discharge (IVD) of dialysis patients and involuntary transfer (IVT) of patients from their units.
    Develop and facilitate training programs and educational resources for dialysis facilities, coordinates and facilitates the activities of the Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) and the Facility Peer Representative Program (FPRP).

    Provides support to the Patient Services Department in tracking complaints and grievances, plus coordinating the New Patient Packet program, and meeting planning.

    Web master for the Network websites and provides graphic designs in the development of marketing and educational campaigns directed at patients and dialysis facility staff.

    Oversees the ongoing implementation for CROWNWeb and is responsible for all programming needs and activities, and also directs the staff of the Data Services Department.

    Responds directly to CROWNWeb issues and develops training for dialysis facility staff members in CROWNWeb requirements. Assists facility staff to make sure all data is entered correctly and in a timely manner.  Provides requested specific information to HMO organizations.

    Provides support for the Patient Services Department in developing projects and programs to meet  contract requirements. Presenting, as needed, in-service education to facilities, webinars, and other programs. Providing backup coverage for the Network “hotline” and other services, as needs are identified.

    Acts as an intermediary to facility staff on behalf of patients and their families. Evaluate patient satisfaction and make suggestions for changes or improvements. Educates patients on patient’s rights and responsibilities, healthy living while on dialysis and the importance of self-advocacy.  Facilitates Facility Peer Program (FPR).
